I don't get so much free time these days, to come on here as I used too. However I still do the odd WWII restoration now and again. Here's a before and after of a handie talkie I restored about 18 mouths ago.
The unit was quite beaten up when it arrived, plus it had been repainted at least once before.
So it got a full strip down, shot blast, repaint plus some new parts from Greece and the USA. The paint is a winkle finish in a late war shade of Olive Drab.
And as a finishing touch I made up a Parachute rigger style harness for it. :-)
