I love to see engraving on guns, not so much on the woodwork as I like a nicely grained piece of walnut but that work is amazing. What wood is it?
I do like Black Forest style wood carving and you've turned a plain piece of wood into a work of art. Fantastic!

Adrain, i think the wood is walnut. from what i read on line. i also think i have lost my mind! i took the butt stock and drew out a pattern for carving. after i drew it out, i realized i really have gone nut's! but yesterday i started carving what i think are the difficult parts first. i'll post pic's as i go.

lol Dr data, not just yet.
Eric, the forearm stock took about 4 days, but i learned a few things, so the butt stock only took 5 days (Long days). the clear finish is drying, i'll add some pic's when it's all done.
