I was experiencing so much trouble yesterday that I had to restore my Laptop back to factory condition...I don't know for sure if it had anything to do with the issue being discussed here, but thought I better mention it as I've lost ALL of my photos and other material...

Glenn,
I would recommend that you go out and purchase an external hard drive, (I chose 2 terabytes), and save a copy of all of your (future ) photographs on there.
