1) I must take pictures of many badges for friend (this is only 25%)
2) Badges look better in hand than in picture (to great detail?)
3) Lights but avoid reflection.
4) Each badge different!

Welcome to the forum, to get the answers you require each badge will need to be posted separately in the appropriate sub forum, such as Soviet Union awards section. You're pictures are good by the way, so I am sure you will get all the answers that you need! Good luck, Leon.
Separate posts? All photos taken with same settings.....badges are different but not camera.

quite confused, Looking for photo advice on taking pictures.
Direct light => reflection
Indirected light => detail gone
First one looks like no detail or to light, actually shinny copper.
Not worried about badge advice, badges are genuine GPW, except 3 (top), post GPW.
