One couldn't use copyrighted content in educational materials with asking or gaining permission although I assume it is commonplace not to do so.

As part of my day job, I spent most of today discussing copyright issues with the Ordnance Survey map people.
It's a complete headache and a really bad joke seeing as though the OS is a Government funded organisation.
That means that we, the UK public pay for them to sell us back the maps that we've already paid for out of our taxes.
Another double fraud!
Technically = Legally...in the UK
