Hi Bob, sadly my knowledge of Naval items is zero, but that is one impressive uniform. The ribbon bar is incredible! Have you researched what the awards are?

    Cheers, Ade.

Great score, Bob. I know its heresy to say this, but Soviet bullion work was better than that of the Third Reich. What can you say, just beautiful....

It is beautiful and quite impressive! I know nothing of most of those ribbons, but from reading from the list it sounds like a lot of those are "time in service' & "unit citation"-type medals. I guess what intrigued me the most was the "Order of Lenin"..is that the Soviet equivalent to the Congressional Medal of Honor here in the U.S.? Thanks for posting!

    Sirs,

The ribbon bar is the one of Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov, but there is an error in the ribbon bar among the Soviet awards. I cannot tell about the foreign awards and their accuracy. I am away from home at the moment and thus do not have the Kutsenko book on hand, but I can look it up on Friday.

That being said - I have the very similar uniform in my collection. It has the exactly same ribbon bar and was sold as a overstock admiral of the fleet uniform by an U.S. company that in their company name has the word Trident.

The uniform with its embroideries is gorgeous in its appearance, but at least mine has never been worn nor used. I can make a good photo of my uniform on friday, for the moment I have only this one (see attachment).
