Shoulder straps for the cadets in the navy schools, where issued army style uniforms only
the difference : the branch emblem is always based on the anchor. In the example below shown anti -aircraft school, where emblem show the crossed guns on the anchor.
Stencils painted over regular army shoulder boards.
The ranks the same as shown above for all cadets :

Navy officers sleeve insignia
Brides are sewed on double breasted tunic (Tuzhoorka) and blue single-breasted tunic on the outer side of both sleeves, parallel to their bottom edges, 80 mm long.
Distance from the top stitching of a french cuff of the tunic to bottom edge of the bride - 7 mm; brides on the double breasted tunic (tuzhoorka) are sewed on the same place, as on a tunic
Stripe or space between brides -5 mm. Narrow bride are stitched over wider. Width of brides are: the wide - 30 mm; average - 13 mm; narrow - 6 mm.
The star stitched over the upper bride: for the highest officers - diameter of 50 mm, color of a star's cloth is the same as a base tunic's cloth with gold bullion embroidered edge, in the center of a star located a hand embroidered gold bullion sickle and a hammer, for the senior and junior officers - diameter of a star is 30 mm, hand embroidered with gold bullion. Stars applied in distance of 30 mm from the upper edge of the top bride to the star's center.
Sleeve insignia - brides, are applied directly on to the sleeves or to the rectangular backing first, which is made of the same cloth as a tunic, then attached to the sleeves. Size of the rectangular backing base is a 80 mm, height depends of the rank and quantity of the brides.
Sleeve insignia is being worn only on the Mundir, Tozhoorkha, or blue Kittel. Other types of the uniform is being worn without sleeve insignia.
Note. Blue cotton single-breasted kitel, allowed to wear without insignia if the owner currently use it in the service on ships or inside a units location (except departments)

Insignia on the parade double breasted tunic- Mundir
Both cuffs of the Mundir for officers of a coastal, air force, coastal-engineering, aviation technical, quartermaster, medical, veterinary and administrative services and justice wear with directly embroidered or applied cuff tabs, which is bullion made, gold or silver color, depends of the branch service
Number of tabs on cuffs:
highest officers - three
senior officers - two
junior officers - one
Cuffs is a piped, on the outer side of a sleeve and its back seam - down, with gold or silver cord :
highest officers-three cords
senior officers - two cords
junior officers - one cord
Stripes between the cords is the same color as the shoulder straps piping, bullion color is the same as the shoulder boards bride

Special sleeve chevrons designed for long service in the navy for NCOs and enlisted personnel. Golden bride made V-type patches, curved at an angle in 80 °. Sleeve chevrons are applied on the left sleeve of overcoats
summer coats
pea jackets (Bushlat)
single-breasted tunics ( kitel)
double breasted tunics ( toozhurkha)
flannel blue service shirts ( flanka)
uniform shirts-white enlisted service shirt ( formenka or gollantka)
above an elbow bend, in distance of 30 mm from it to a chevron corner, the others up from the first, parallel to it, with space between chevrons on the perpendicular line - 5 mm.
Chevrons are stitched to а piece of cloth, same as a base uniform color, which is sewn to a sleeve as it is stated above.
The number of chevrons is determined:
fifteen years of the service and higher - three
ten years of the service and higher - two
five years of the service and higher - one
Width of bride of chevrons -13 mm. Distance between the ends of chevrons - 80 mm. Chevron's side length - 60 mm.

branch navy insignia , enlisted , soviet navy 1943
Introduced earlier sleeve branch insignia for enlisted and NCO's, round shape patches, became smaller size in 1943 year-60 mm, including embroidered circle border. Border width- 5 mm. This insignia has got short name "Штат" which is transcripted as "Schtat" -which is translated as "Staff". The patch is worn on the left sleeve of overcoats, summer coats, pea jackets, single-breasted tunics, toozhorkhas, flannel shirts and uniform shirts. The base material of the patch is the same as uniform color and two types introduced- NCO type with golden color, bullion embroidered circle, and red silk thread embroidered circle for enlisted personnel. The branch service insignia in the middle of a circle is allways red silk embroidery.

Sleeve rank insignia OF CADETS OF NAVAL SCHOOLS by study years
Sleeve patch constructed with bride chevrons in gold (silver) color, which is bent in the middle at an angle in 125 °, pointing down, for applying to the left sleeve of naval overcoats, pea jackets, flannel and uniform shirts of cadets of naval schools.
Chevrons are attached by a point down, above an elbow bend, in distance of 30 mm from it to a first chevrons edge, parallel to it.
The stripes between each bride chevron on the perpendicular line is 5 mm. Width of bride chevrons- 13 mm. Length of a completed patch with chevrons - 30 mm. The number of chevrons is determined:
cadets of the 4th study yea - four
cadets of the 3rd study yea - three
cadets of the 2nd study yea - two
cadets of the 1st study year - one .
Above the chevrons are gold/silver bullion embroidered star. Stars applied in distance of 40 mm from the point of upper chevron up to the star center. Diameter of a star - 30 mm.
Chevrons and star are sewed on the rectangle cloth patches, which is the same color as the unoiform itself.
Color of chevrons and stars: for cadets of the naval schools which trained officers of ship crew, ship crew-engineers, coastal services and air force crew - gold, for cadets of other schools to whom the naval dress code is established - silver.

Soviet marines sleeve insignia- anchor
MARINES sleeve insignia
The sleeve patch designed with anchor bound by a rope, andapplied onto the left sleeve, 30 mm higher than an elbow bend.
The ancor is embroidered for marines officers with bullion, the same color, as a shoulder strap brides (gold or silver), for NCO and enlisted ranks - a golden or yellow silk thread.
Size of insignia:
anchor height with a rope - 60 mm;
anchor height with an eye - 57 mm; rod length - 26 mm;
margin between anchor points - 28 mm; length of the outer side of a hook - 10 mm;
distance from an anchor heel up to the end of a hook - 27 mm.
Insignia is worn by all marines units on all types of uniform, except the working and inventory dress which is given out for short-term using (sheepskin coats, raincoats, etc.)

Design of the insignia are the rectangle patches, made of the same as a uniform color cloth with stitched horizontal strips from a silk bride, 5 mm wide and 43 mm long. Each wound is designated on a patch:
at a severe wound - a bride of golden color;
at a slight injury - a bride of dark-red color.
Brides are applied from bottom, to the top in row, in order of each received wound
Length of the patch, corresponds to length of brides, and its height depends on number of them. Space between brides - 3 mm.
The patch applied on the right sleeve of naval uniform in distance of 10 cm from a shoulder seam to the edge of bottom bride, and patch applied horizontally, all the brides must be parallel to the sleeve. On subjects of the working and inventory uniforms which is given out for short-term using, insignia not applied. On an all army uniforms the wound patch is applied as it is established in Red Army.
