Any info to ID my Japanese helmet

Just bought this Japanese helmet, auction I got it from had no idea what it was however I reconized the chin strap as being Japanese however I cannot ID what type of Japanese helmet it is, any info anyone can give me would be a great help. The 3 pics are the ones the auction house had up on their site, just waiting for the helmet to arrive before I can take some more pics.

Appears to be a Civil type lid - Police, Fire Brigade, etc.........

Thank you both for the helmet, started doing a little more research now that I have a direction to go in and you both are right, seems to be a civil defense lid
