Border Protection Group 9 helm

just to share my issued Grenzschutzgruppe 9 der Bundespolizei helmet this one is the first model issued to the gsg9 unit after there inception in 1973 , you may notice this helm shares slight similarities to the TR m38 Fallschirmjäger helmet ,the liner and chinstrap have more in common with the west german bundeswehr luftlandetruppen stahlhelm but fitted both a solid and break away chinstrap catch ,hope you like as much as i do Attachment 831140

James, a great piece of kit ! resplendent in its moose green paint, slightly textured to give a non glare finish, these are hard to find, congratulations on finding one !
The goggles look good !

A very nice helmet indeed James and one I have been after to add to my own collection for some time now IMO a very well constructed helmet that are extremley desirable.

Yes the camo is a better match . And now I regret parting with a pair very similar shoulder boards , I thought were NVA !
