So I shot some photos.
Here, the first one shows the interior of the helmet. Note the orientation of the liner to the helmet, and also the chinstrap fixture placement.


Next, here's the creative size marking on the leather liner. Words fail me.


Exterior rivet installation. I suspect these may have been set by hand!

Two shots of the liner suspension ring installation, a shining example of the "if it doesn't fit, force it!" method of assembly. Note the deep bend, which places the liner ring fully .5 away from the shell at the deepest bend. I mean, really, WTH is going on here?

Looks like a liner replacement and as you said riveted by hand!...

i see what you mean cammo bunker ,very rough indeed ,perhaps a late afternoon friday manufactureseriously though even the ink stamp is crudely done it almost looks like a facsimile of the m51 ive never heard of copies of the italian copied bulgarian m51 but you never know ,thanks for showing ,james
