the South Vietnamese would have used the same type of helmet with a net, the soldiers in the group photo appear to wearing the Mle 51 , one soldier has the metal clamped on type chin straps.

Thank you BG, I am really impressed with the reference picture, which coincidentally was the look I was going for on this micro project, I got the net from a fellow collector in France, so perhaps these were supplied by French to the Vietnamese??

looks good with the salade cover James C , my helmet has the net over the salade material like the Iraqi style green covers used on their last helmet
