    These helmets are still used by the Cypriot army. Not much today, as the new US ones are now in use but when i was in the army from 1996-98 the one in the picture was the only one available.

    I have been offered a 1943 McCORD that was used by the Greeks post war, did such yhing ever happen.

    Yes, since 1948 Greek Army started using US surplus from WW2.
    In first photo is my father wearing a M1 helmet, April 1950 in the 573 Infantry Battalion and in the second photo, June 1950 in the 101 artillery battalion.
