Congratulations Mark, these are great helmets.
Unusual repaint as it has been done inside and out, it’s a very Italian grey, maybe a re-issue after the armistice with the Germans and Italians….it’s all guess work.

i love it's liner with the stamp on the leather !!


Stamp says : ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΟΣ ΣΤΡΑΤΟΣ which means Greek army

Liner looks very similar to spanish liners.

thanks tinhat. i also thought that to with paint. its been done very well. like if the liner was taken out, and the shell was repainted.

thanks for the link greekmilitaria, i can see two words in pen or ink in one of the fingers in the liner it looks like a B or a 8 and Σ.

It's an 8 with a Σ which is S in English but i really don't know what that means :P
