Hello Mick,
The plastic liner is the one I would like to look at more closely! Thanks for answering!

Hi.
Okay, i can take some more detailed pictures of one, when i get home.
BTW: What do you think about my idea to paint the other shell i have?
im not sure i want to do it, so i need some other prospective.
/Mick
Hi Mick,
Thanks for taking the pictures!
Well about reconstructing the shell to make it appaer a M1 Medic. I personally am a bit reluctant to alter a perfectly good helmet. You might feel sorry at a later date.
I once altered a Dutch, run of the mill, M34. Later it turned out to be a very rare Military Academy example. I ruined it!
I would get a ruined M1 and and alter that one!
Cheers,
Emile
Okay. - Thanks for your reply!

Here you go.
Hope thats fine.

Thanks Mick!
Good pictures.
Could you tell me whether there are producers marks on this helmet? On the top of the helmet is there a kind of pimple which stands out of the surface?
Did you ever se a bottle green helmet like this one?
Sorry for all the questions.
Cheers,
Emile
Hey.
There was a kinda bump on top of the liner, but no stamps or anything like that.
And all of them i have seen have been grey. - Sorry.
/Mick
to make it like a M1 you will have to change the straps
I have the same m1 clone its a post World War 2 helmet the Insigna stamped in the liner is a crown and C F underneath it. which I was told that it was used by the Danish. If you find a m1 you should look to see if the metal trim around the base has a split in the front or back. If its in the front its WW2, if its in the back its after WW2.
Look here for an overview of several M1 clones in Europe from 50's to 90's
