French fireman helmet for ceremony the enblem on the front is the city where it came from.It is pre ww2.

Mdl 84 fireman helmet with officer emblem but Cavalery helmet top. Stange combination

Hi,
i have found this pic in one of my reference books it is some French Dragoons in 1914, the helmets are the same as you have but the badge has been changed on yours. hope this helps.

Army helmet, (Dragoon, cuirassier) will be in steel whereas firemans will be in copper.

Standard cavalerie will look like the below. Difference between cuirassier and dragon will be a small decoration on top of the helmet.



Fireman will look like the below.



The 2 on top are mle 84.
