Holland M34 helmet WW2

Hello all,
Here is my M34 helmet, I think it is one
But im not an expert and have no Knowledge about this helmets
I hope an expert can help me to identify thiswonderful helmet
On the front the letters BB were applied and im not shure about the Colour
Im thankful for all coments

The "BB" stands for Bescherming Bevolking (Civil Protection).

This is a WW2 helmet shell (M34) that has been reconditioned after the war for Civil Defense (BB, as Gunny states) use. The original colour is olive green. The post war BB overpaint is of a greyish colour. The remnants of the post war reddish-brown liner can still be seen. Most of these helmets were issued with the oval lion plate.

Hello Bavarian,

I could provide you with a nearly mint brown leather innerhelmet with chin strap and all other things to refurbish your BB-helmet making it as original as possible. The only thing you have to do is removing the leather- and the attachingparts for the chinstarp on the left and right side
of your helmet. If you are in need of such an innerhelmet just drop a line.

BTW Before refurbishment as a CD helmet, this used to be a very rare and desirable Naval/Marines helmet.

The outline of the soldered on anchor, can still be seen. Hang on to it!
