I am ask ing for help to identify this helmet please?

Another forgotten helmet recued from my basement.
What intrigues me are the leather liner pieces with the underlying brown or faded green canvas pads. The m-16 that i have posted has similar white pads. This helmet is rather primitive in terms of protection from concussion . The outer steel is solid and the leather chin strap looks good. Could this be an imperial japanese helmet from that period though clearly not german. How about italian? I just do not know. Any help would be most appreciated.

Looks like a Swedish helmet with a newer liner. Some of the pins have definitely been fiddled with.

i was on manion's Auction site on dec 18th and saw a similar helmet with an identical liner but no picture showing the pads.that helmet was a model 1926 Swedish. Could it be that this was a later authorised refit?
