One more Israeli used MKII AT para.....this is one I sold a few years ago and I just came across the photos.

This as the more usual sand coloured paint, the oval pad has been replaced with the foam crucifix crown pad from a British MKII and secured in with an aluminium rivet. (this mod is fairly common on these helmets)

The chinstrap is the Israeli manufactured version (no hollow rivets in the metal ends) and dated 1944.

One of my selling off regrets, when I cropped my collect by half

Probably against the rules but has anyone got an Israeli chinstrap for a M1? As I bought one without the strap. It is marked on both shell and liner with the Tzahal acceptance mark and dated 1970.

Bringing this thread back to the top.

My IDF 2019 buying spree addition includes this MkII with Israeli made liner and chin strap.

I know there are a few of these here.

This one has the early issues HSAT copy chinstrap, they look like they have been together and condition of both is comparable. These chinstrap we replaced in 1985 by the quick release version.

The helmet has a faint April 1980 manufacturing date. Orlite, size B

I'm going to add this one here also, IDF 602 vehicle crew helmet.

I know next to nothing about these except they were first used in 1982 and they don't surface very often.

The shell is much thinner than the 201s and rough finish inside, unfortunately the label inside has come off. It' is secured to the Gentex CVC helmet with three press studs.

Gentex parts are dates 2008 and 2009

This photo from the 1982 Lebanon war, shows an M113 crew, 2 with this type, the one on the right has a 601, and the one on the left looks, by the size an shape, to be the ballistic variant of the M1 liner with 3 point chinstrap. (Shown in post #61, by Roger)

Picked this one up a couple of weeks ago, it’s not in great condition but interesting because it is a converted HSRAC.

I’m assuming late WWII helmet, the inside has the original brown paint, it has the dimple on top from the ‘Lift the Dot’ mount. The lugs from the original chinstrap have been flattened and left in place.

The LtD mount has been removed to rivet in the oval foam pad. The liner is the Israeli copy of the HSAT as is the chinstrap.

Might as well add my Israeli M1 to the thread ,the chinstrap looks to have been fitted incorrectly but shows signs it's been like that a long time IDF ISRAELI helmets arab israeli wars, 1967 - 1982IDF ISRAELI helmets arab israeli wars, 1967 - 1982IDF ISRAELI helmets arab israeli wars, 1967 - 1982
