just thought i would add my 2 cents worth if ok first picture showing is a referance picture from the six day war of 1967 showing the british mk2 para helmets and then my mk111 turtle helmet not exactly israeli issue but used by the british in the israeli war of 1948 and last is my rabintex orlite M76/85 thanks james
another IDF helmet I saw on ebay
very nice battle gear i like the one piece construction ,how much is this one on for
Obkrieger,
the markings are very faded but by the looks Im pretty sure it's Hebrew writing used by the Israelis
Battle gear, it is definitely Israeli, the gray liner is a local copy or refit of the British MkII liner.

B-G, thanks for this thread. I only have one such helmet from the IDF in my collection. It's a pretty old one. I hope you don't mind if I post it here.
Dean.
Battlegear, this a great example that has so much character.
I'm not sure these were actually used by paras, I think the para moved from the British MkII to the M76, in photos these are more commonly seen in armored infantry units, but feel free to prove me wrong. Either way the thread keeps getting better.
