Italian M33 helmet, 1947-1990
Goodmorning everyone,
with this post I wanted to share with you some Italian M33 helmets of the post war period, used between 1947 and the early 90s.
Identified unambiguously the manufacturers and the exact period of production for these helmets is practically impossible, in the sense that no date on them is never reported and the marks on the shells are not supported by a truly reliable literature
They are a mixture of shells of war and post productions, submitted to a number of reconditioning, that especially in the period of the late 40s used spare parts were produced during the war years.
The shells generally should be painted in khaki green, but can be found in varying shades up to green only.
The same thing applies to the color of the liner leather and for the chin strap that can have various hues.
To try to summarize this information I show photos of some all original examples of which many mint condition.
If may be useful to make a comparison with the examples of WW2 period, I refer you to this my other post.

I hope I explained well enough, I'm sorry, but unfortunately my English is not very good!
Thanks for looking.
Roberto
Following are some examples with shell and all components are WW2 period, including the chinstrap in green leather with rectangular hooking.
-Example Army late 40s-kakhi painting
-Example "Carabinieri" (Italian Military Police) late 40s-kakhi painting
-Example late 40s reused by Carabinieri in 50/60s and green repainted
