I agree with guys M16, Afganian helmet, I've ssen some M18's "cut ear" type too for Afganian army. They've add also some kind of the cloth shown on the picture, which is specific only for Afganian helmets

Hi OS,
I would say leave the white liner in place. It is typical for Afghan used helmets, as Dimas poses.
Fitting in a replacement liner does not add any value whatsoever!

I have just read this thread (shame on me ), i see that one of the contributers has named the model as an M17, in reality the designation M17 refers to the liner band (metal as opposed to leather) & not the shell, & when fitted to an M16 shell it becomes an M17, just to clear any confusion in the future.
