Steve, the liner in your spahis/zouave helmet is from the 50's.

You are correct, the stamp in the liner is post war type but I can't read the date, it is stamped for army use, so I think it is an original army helmet rather than one that has been put together for sale. I didn't know that when I bought it but I think I still would have as it was the only one I had ever seen at that point.
Thanks, Steve.
she's a real beaut geelong ,i would love this in my collection ,now is it true only officers helmets had the plaited chinstrap as opposed to the basic strap, nice find ,james

Lovely helmets guys
Here's one I have
It's nice to see there are few more closet Adrian helmet collectors.
Wow thats a nice helmet, I have been wanting an Adrian but I have seen so many either repainted or with replaced liners and insignia.....anyone know where I can get a good complete original?
Hello,
Some auction sites may show some but one needs to be carefull as many adrian are now "modified" for better sales.
Colour, liner (the black one) and insignas are key éléments to look at, especialy when they are uncomon.
