M33 italian ?

Hello Frenchy,

This is a postwar Italian M33. The chinstrap is canvas with a sliding buckle.

The WW2 M33 helmets had grey/green leather straps with a roller buckle.

There are better post war M33 helmets around. This one is pretty beat up. My advice: let this one pass.

Hi Adrian,

To my mind this is a WW2 helmet. The D-rings are rectangular and have not the post war trapezoid shape.

The strap is leather. I cannot see whether the leather colour is grey/green, but it should have that colour.

That will make a nice helmet again once you put a replaced liner in it, It,s in good condition.
