Hi,
This is Sohlberg m17 helmet either for Imperial Russian army or for Finnish army, correct ?
But can someone tell what is this “decal” on both sides of the helmet ?
I first thought it is the German, but the colors are in wrong order.
There are no stamps other than 54 in a circle (size?) and self made swastika.

My thinking is that it was used by the Imperial Russian Military, then, during WW2 was re-issued to Finnish forces (Due to the Swastika being a symbol used during the winter war). As for the decal, it looks to be a bulgarian flag. Could be, but it could also not be bulgarian. A crazy story would be, this was made for the Imperial Russian Army, Captured by the Bulgarians, then re-captured by the Imperial Russian army (Or just kept by the Bulgarians) then Imported or re-issued to the Finnish Army.

Also, the liner looks like it was from a SSh 36, so possibly used by The bulgarians, Imperial Russians, Soviet Russians, And Finnish. Wow, thats a lot of users for that helmet.
SSh36 helmet liner.
