Very very impressive, organized collection and display!
Back in the "old" days, U.S. helmets weren't worth all that much,
But not today !

Thanks for the positive comments. I started getting priced out of the TR market and got sick of fakes so, I made the transition to U.S. many years ago and haven't looked back since.

Something I started to do, and should have stuck with!

I love WWII US pilot wings, but fakes and
restrikes abound here also.....................

Key is knowledge, but then again, if you like it - buy it ! !

I have a several US helmets, and got most of them
reasonably priced just before "Saving Private Ryan".
After the movie was released the prices seemed to soar ! !

Glad you stuck to your guns...........

I have just re-read your thread and am again very impressed
It good that you have it on this forum as there are many members into the M1. I see you have some other helmets on show since it first saw your collection and it,s still growing.

Dave, yup, my collection is the never ending collection. Everytime that I think it's arrived at the pinnacle for me and I can't go any further... something new comes along and it changes.

Hey, every collection starts with the first piece! I've never thought my collection was puny even when I had only 3 items.

Collections are not about how much someone has but rather the quality of what you have. If your happy then that's all that matters. Looking forward to seeing your collection.
