    Hello from France

Here is my gift for my 40th birthday : a helmet for round gsoldier of french Air force (Adrian modèle 1935/37).

His color is dark blue and have a date stamped: 1940.

His life was nice: air force and "résistance" between 1940 and 1945. His owner during Résistance was René GAULT.

    Thank you for reading.

A great helmet and piece of history. I've always associated these with tankies, didn't know the air force used them too.

    Thank you :-)

Theses helmets werre first for "motorised" (tank, armoured car and rider) and, since 1937, used by ground personnal (air defense or anti-aircaft, I guess).

I just buy a french book about helmet and as soon as possible, I will give further information about theses helmets.

    Cheers

    Hello
I have no further information or picture... the use of this helmet seems mysterious!

    Hello
    Nice helmet
M35 were widely used by the "armée nouvelle" during WW2 and also after. They were replaced by the Newly M45 that got the same look and feel but beeing larger.
