There is room for one more, no problem Dan
The wet fit theory sounds plausible. I will not wash the fabric or age the covers. I will leave all that to you guys to fiddle with. Will make one for myself of course.

A lot of the US M1 cammo covers used in the pacific and later on in the Korean / Vietnam wars shrunk tight onto the helmets - thats where I got the idea.

It's a good idea Dan, would certainly get it tight.
Was thinking about this today and I am quite looking forward to grabbing one. Love both the soviet and German stuff, and this is a happy medium

Hello guys,
Here are some pics of the prototype V2.0. There will be made some minor changes to the edge with the draw string. It will be a little further in on the front and rear skirts. Not so close to the edge. Also, the draw string will be at the rear skirt of course. I specifically made her not make it too good a fit, it being made on the front line. It will leave some room to work with and then we will also see who will be able to make the best fit, "Stalingrad" style The final Amoeba covers will have a little better fit than this one.
Looking GOOD Lars!
Mine would need to suit a M42 in size 66 ( although they did change maker to maker I think for a field made job it would have been "one size IS MADE to fit all" )
Cheers, Dan

Thank you guys
Nice with a heads up on the size Dan. I will actually need the sizes of the helmets the cover should fit onto. This cover will never fit a 66. It's a 62 or 64. If any of you have a 64-62 helmet, could you take a measurement of the outside diameter? Around the liner rivets.
