Thought you might Andy! and looking forward to doing some "distressing" to it ( the cover, not the helmet! )

I measured a few M35 M40 size 64 shells from different makers and they were 230-235mm side to side and 280-285 front to back ( measured at the skirt edges )

If any of you have a 64-62 helmet, could you take a measurement of the outside diameter? Around the liner rivets.

    Regards, Lars
And the outside circumference at the rivet position is 660-665mm

I have an ET68 that I would LOVE to put one of these on, if you've got the extra fabric.

    Hello Dan,

There is something "fishy" about your measurements except for the circumference Are you under the influence of the infamous Inch maybe? Below are the measurements of my helmet. I will say it's a 62 judging from the 660-665mm of your 64 lid. Thanks mate.

Front to back skirt 43.5 cm. Side to side 42.5 cm. Circumference 63.5 just under the retaining pins.

    Regards, Lars

HI Lars, just measured again - got the same measurements - checked the tape - it is in metric. I measured 4 helmets ( all Quists and all clearly stamped Q64 ) 2 x M35 and 2 x M35. I turned them upside down and measured side to side at the skirt edge and then front to back hooking the tape edge over the visor and measuring back to the skirt edge at rear. I will take some photos with the tape after work today and you can see ....... strange I agree my measurements are quite different to yours????

I think what the problem is Dan. I am measuring from skirt to skirt but up around the dome. You measure across right?

Yes, I am measuring across, not up and over. NOW I understand, I will sent some new measurements!
    Cheers, Dan
