Ostfront event in Odessa, NY 2014

Hi guys,

A couple friends of mine and I attended the Ostfront event that they hold every April in Odessa, New York. There were about 20 SS, 20 Heer, 20 Soviets, and the three of us partisans.

We had a great time and the weather made for some great photography. I plucked all of these off of Facebook. I am the guy in the black cap with the grass stuck in the front.

Participating in this event gave me a greater understanding of why the Germans hated partisans so fiercely. We would set up ambushes, attack with hit n' runs, and generally cause a disturbance. We must have taken down five of them for every one of us.

Great photos! Seems to me that you had it a little easy to take down 5 for every 1 loss given the close order columns and full body exposure your 'enemies' displayed!
