Hi Guys, eight members of 2nd Guards attended this event. A nice relaxed event looking around the museum, riding on the vintage trams (one ex DDR) and in the former Soviet and DDR vehicles. The public were out in force and the car park was full. I have tried to edit the public from the pics which might give the wrong impression of the place being empty. Hopefully the museum made a good profit.
The weather kept fine for us with just the odd shower. All in all a great fun day out.
Cheers, Ade.

The GAZ 46 MAV (Russian, малый автомобиль водоплавающий, small floating vehicle) Owned by a comrade of ours.
Built postwar by the Soviets as they liked the Ford GPA amphibious jeeps supplied under Lend Lease during the war and they wanted their own home built version. Built 1952 - 1955.

Very nice pics Ade Funny how you all look very "Russian". Does the ГАЗ truck have a NOTEK light on it, or is it a Soviet copy?
Cheers
Hi Lars, the lamp will be be a copy of the Notek blackout driving light system.
I should add the whole museum was built in a former quarry. The whole street has been made from buildings from around the UK which have been moved to the site and rebuilt.
