The Firefly just takes my breath away......a truly magnificent tank. And the paint job on that Pz IV is superb.

These next few pics are of the beast known as the 'Tortoise'. It really is a helluva hunk of metal!
This is the first time it had run under it's own power for sixty odd years and the only one in existance (if I remember correctly...?)
It only managed one circuit of the track and even then it was a little touch and go as to whether it might break down.......

Oh my goodness. 32lber gun ! That was some tank, if a smidge on the heavy side
Is that other one still up on the Kirkcudbright range ? We should try and retrieve it if it is

Up to date with more modern armour now and a Challenger II main battle tank doing a few circuits of the arena followed by an AS-9O Self Propelled gun and finally by an awesome piece of kit, the Trojan Armoured Engineer Vehicle......

In the last photo of the Churchill, the guy on the far side of the turret is the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Tank' - Captain Slow himself....... James May!
