Get this book "The Price Of Glory" By Horne about the battle brings things into perspective sheer slaughter so much so the French army nearly mutinied part of the master plan by the IGA to "Bleed France White"
Book is a 1st Ed H/C from my library I just try hard to get them but finding them at good prices especially where my main focus is on Australian WWI battles the costs just crucify ones wallet............
