Be sure to get some pics, Ade. (A Christmas present would be nice, too.)
Would definitely love to come and say hello mate but again the tyranny of distance prevents it. One day.
Sounds like a another great event at the Tank Museum ............ why is it so far away !!
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
i think they should move the museum to the middle of the country its to damn far away
i may try and make this, love the museum and its only up the road from the inlaws (about 1 mile)
great place and definately worth the travelling for people a long way away
ive marched past that place hundreds of time in training, drove vikings, warthogs, 432s and even tanks past it yet never had the time to go in and have a look round haha

Oh my goodness... I just got the greatest idea... WW1 reenactors recreating the christmas truce soccer match... using a leather ball, etc. maybe playing in the mud... I'd pay to see that!
We had a fantastic time.
Had a lot of interest and got to play privatly in the museum for many hours before and after closing time. So we had a good look around.
Obviously there are limitations to doing indoor displays, (stuff in the background etc) but these pics will give you some idea. We had fake snow.
