Help: Unknown Map Case

Hi All,

Unfortunatelly, I only have this one photo...but...

Could anyone shed some light on this map case? What nationality, WW1 or WW2?

Is there any markings in it I have seen some early east german map cases that resemble this one

THX Guys - this is the only pic - and it's so cheap, (8 EU) I should just buy it to see if there are any markings

I've been checking the internet as well, but those brass corners threw me on the loop - none had any so far...

I thinks it for Civil use IMO.
But is very old and still nice to me and I like it.

I'd buy it for 8 Euro's, its a nice old piece in what appears to be nice, untampered condition.

well, I hit the "pay now" button...
still no clue what sort case, hopefully there will be some stamping or marking inside.
I also like the look of it...with those brass buckle and corners, looks like a "fantasy WW1 steam-punk" mapcase

I'll update when received - THX for the posts - if anyone has more info, don't be shy.

UPDATE:

well the case arrived today, unfortunately, no marks or staps to be found...
otherwise a nice item, still working perfectly, you can tell that it was made to last.

I'm not sure if that is supposed to be writing on the inside or not, if so possibly east block, Has had its fair share of wear to it
