Need help with Asian medals/pins

I purchased a lot of WW2 era Japanese medals/pins and have identified all of them with the exception of these 3. My niece who speaks Japanese said these are not Japanese characters, but she was unsure what they were. Any help with these 3 pieces would be greatly appreciated.
