I've had this nice looking Hungarian party badge in my collection for few years and discovered today that it is circa 1970's - 1980's reproduction. In fact it's the second version reproduction floating around out there. I don't really collect party badges because it requires a lot of time and effort to familiarize yourself with so many variations and makers but occasionally I'll pick up one that is extremely appealing. I hope this helps other casual collectors to avoid this particular fake.

I continue to see this fake pin selling on websites and it bothers me to know people are getting ripped off. I paid about $165 for my fake years ago and now I see one listed for $265. I bumped the thread in case someone is doing a search for this pin it may help save some one their hard earned money
