I admit this is one of the most boring items I own but always looking to expand on italian items. Walking through the antique store, the eagle on the front of this sewing kit created a tunnel vision effect. Saw another one these online but no info provided. Question is, has anyone seen these before and are they true period? Thanks guys.

Certainly American. See - Belding Brothers & Company, Silk Manufacturers

A source from 1932 states the following: 'Belding-Heminway-Corticelli The above is new name of Consolidated Corticelli Silk Company and Belding-Heminway Company, whose merger is now consummated'. However, confusingly Belding-Corticelli Ltd was certainly used in the 1920s and 30s. 'Belding-Heminway-Corticelli' seems to have used from the 1930s until the early 1960s at least.
