    Thanks mate, I've seen the photo from the Chancellery before but not the others. They are certainly evocative photos.

    Food-for-thought pics. Thanks for posting.

    The hotel pics reminded me of the apocryphal tale of the GI emerging from the bunker and talking to a Russian soldier, who had something to sell.
    Haivng exchanged several cartons of cigarettes and bottles of whisky, the GI made off with what the Russian solder had told him was Adolf Hitlers complete private set of forks, spoons and knives marked AH.
    The GI later found this to be tableware swiped from the Adlon Hotel.
