Nice pics - thanks for posting !
I've visited twice this year and agree that it's nice to go on a 'quiet' ( ie non-event day ) giving time to look at the less high-profile exhibits ( like the early Churchill in your second photo - largely incomplete but still an interestingly-restored range relic ). I get a laugh out of 'The Old Gang' too!
I think they've done fairly well with the displays. I visited in the 1980s when everything was packed in tight ; my gripe with this was that decent photography was impossible : also I couldn't stand back a little to look at the vehicles and gain perspective. It's always a compromise and I reckon they've done OK.
Overall, it is an amazing collection which we should never take for granted.

When I went there in 2004, there was a glass cabinet with bits and pieces connected to the TR, there was a relic connected to the Fuhrerbunker, can't remember what it was now, my mate commented about me liking to own it, which I agreed !
Regards
Paul
A fire damaged plate if I remember correctly.

Again, hopefully Compo doesn't mind if I add some pics (recently added to the TankFest 2019 thread but thought I'd put them in here too)...
Not many people pay much attention to the earlier wheeled stuff
