I know the place well, I've spent a lot of time along the coast between Perth and Exmouth. The fishing is great, that's for sure, we're very lucky.

My fav location is Steep point. This was my first time to quobba. Heard about the germans landing here in the life boats on this trip. bet alot of west Aussies have no idea a german ship came so close

I have heard that when people found out there was life rafts full of sailors turning up they rushed there with food and blankets thinking they were the survivors of the Sydney but got a rude shock when they turned out to be Germans.

Looks like Carnarvon Police arrested them..
