    Default HM Australian Submarines AE1 & AE2 Monument Barrow in Furness

    I am working in Cumbria for a few weeks and staying in Barrow in Furness, not been up here for a while.

    While walking around one night I noticed this monument to 2 Australian Submarines built in Barrow and lost during WW1

    I thought I would take some pictures to show everyone

    I think I read somewhere that AE1 has been found.

    A private team had a crack but unfortunately found nothing...yet.
    Its believed to be off New Guinea.
