... ups ... the frogs have'nt invide Belgium - or did they

Houffalize is a small market town in Belgium ... in the Walloon region and Luxembourg Province ... and had 4,802 inhabitants

The tanks got new colors every few year ... sorry to say, that every new layer of colour would be add as an addition ...
    No mate they haven't

But the facts are that the French language has become the most widely used in both Belgium and Luxembourg as it is used by both in socio-political matters at home and communications/discussions with all other E.U. States.

As i said, the data on the side of the Panther is in French, not Walloon. Sorry for being pedantic, but it's true.

    Regards, Ned.

Sorry to tell that the muzzle-brake is not from an 8.8 cm gun ... some GI's have stolen them ... The owner of the La Gleize museum habe replaced them witth a piece of a barrell which was belonging to a Panther tank

PKMann, a great set of photographs !...I last saw these tanks in late 1975, the King Tiger at La Gleize was further up the hill (near the church) facing the other way (the museum was in the basement of a hotel opposite the Tiger) and in a very unloved state, the Panther at Houffalize had been painted PINK as a prank by students from nearby Liege !

Fantastic photos, thanks for bringing this thread back up KMNZ I missed it. I sure wish they could at least build a roof over those beauties to help them last another 100 years.
