Here are a few shots of the German Minister of State for Bohemia and Moravia, SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Karl Hermann Frank's car in the Technical Museum in Holešovice, Prague. From the tail end of 1942, Frank travelled in this supercharged eight-cylinder Mercedes Benz 540 K. The car was originally produced in 1939 as a cabriolet, but following Reinhard Heydrich's assassination in May 1942, it received a bullet-proof saloon body. The engine, a water-cooled four stroke eight-cylinder model, was placed behind the front axle with rear-wheel drive and a maximum speed of over 160 km/h (100 mph). It was produced by Daimler-Benz A.G. Stuttgart. Frank himself was executed before a crowd of 5,000 in the courtyard of Pankrác prison in Prague in 1946.

Carl
