Appreciate your comment Mark...however, I believe the phrase was actually "Himmlers Hirn heißt Heydrich" i.e. "Himmler's brain..."..?

    Carl
    Yep, that was a typo

As for the other point; I misunderstood the aim of the thread, so my apologies for that.

I will not speak on the subject further
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

No Mark, my comment was not directed toward you. There was an earlier post, now deleted, that was out of place.

Were the victims ever given a proper burial?

I could not find any information related to the adults who were murdered. The remains of the children, most of whom were sent to Kulmhof and gassed, would not have been found.

The adults may have been buried in a mass grave somewhere nearby then. I hope they will once be found for a proper resting place.

As the images posted earlier indicate, many locations have been identified with commemorative markers. However, I was unable to ascertain whether these are actual burial spots.
