My recent trip to Germany: Colditz, Torgau, Wewelsburg, etc.

    Great thread Ade.
    I really like these kinds of threads. They give a perspective that you can't get
    by watching the TV documentaries. Plus they are just plain entertaining, especially
    for those of us who will never be able to make the trip in person.

    Tell your friend she has a very good eye for taking pictures.

    Yes indeed, the photo's are very professional, i am very envious.
    I was in Dunkirk last weekend for the 75th Anniversary and also attended the Museum which was very good. I dont tend to take many photo's unfortunately, was good to see the image of the Dunkirk museum even though I was only inside it last week !

    Thanks for this thread, Ade. The museum exhibits in post # 13 are of particular interest. (For some reason, I especially like the painting of the assorted Warsaw Pact NCOs.) One of these days, I should really go to Dresden...

    Many thanks for the Wewelsburg photos Ade i have driven past many times but never had the opportunity to stop. We vdo the Dresden raids and the Bundeswehr museum on our Air War Europe Tour for me it's one of the best n Germany !

    Just got back from the Colditz trip - your photos are almost identical to mine! Even the scaffording is still on the barrackhouse on the way down to the Tiergarten
