wonderful photos of a very interesting trip Nuno, as to the battle scars on the remaining buildings, this reminds me of the trip i went on to the Teutoburg Forest to see the statue of Hermannsdenkmal. Its really a statue of Arminius, leader of the Germanic Tribes who beat the Roman Legions in 9AD, The statue stands at 53Metres on top of a large hill top, what they dont like to tell you is that the whole thing is peppered with machine gun holes. This was apparently caused by the returning RAF bombers who took pot shots at it when flying back to base

Thanks you mate, its even more fantastic when you are right there seeing it for your self.
Shame what those RAF boys did to the statue, but thats something that happened everywhere during the war.
    Cheers.

The last stage of the trip.
One of the still existing sections of the berlin wall and its memorial.
On the site there is a graveyard, where the wall`s bictims are buried, its memorial, a section of the inner wall, and the locations of the former buildings.
