Normandy accomodation suggestions?

Hi all

Mrs suggested a long weekend away, so I thoughtfully suggested Normandy!

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for where to stay, ideally historic, close to the beaches, good for family and if anyone knows of any guest houses or farms that would allow me to detect on their land then that would be an absolute given that we would stay there

Your choice may be limited Steve as the tourist season is kicking into swing.

You could try this site, I've found some decent accomodation (self catering) through them.

Try la sapiniere on Omaha beach ,very nice place good people and they have a restaurant.

Last time I was in Normandy, i slept here: Le Canada Hotel - close to Ouistreham

I liked it, a lot

We use this place Normandy Beach B & B, Arromanches, Normandy Karen and Adrian are great hosts, we're going back for our 3rd stay the end of June.
P.S there is a large fridge in the courtyard that you can help yourself to a cold beer
