Another place I visited whilst living in the Nederlands. Sad to see so many young lives cut short, though good to see the honour in which they are still held and respected by the local community.

Yes, not a relative as far as I know, but linked in name if nothing else and a moving thing to see. The few unnamed graves also were very moving.

Several friend of mine who were Vets and have passed away in recent years have had their ashes interred there, place on the left side. Our living history group had to provide a guard of honour for one, Pvt. Don Hobbs, ex XXI IPC. It was a bit nerve racking, but it went very well. A real choker though. These lads are not allowed a marker though. But each Sept for the anniversary many relatives do place temporary markers there so flowers can be laid.
