    Did any of you see this fascinating documentary on BBC2 last night !

    There were some very bad decisions made with catastrophic results!

    I watched it last night, what a balls up. A good program apart from a few of Clarkson's xenophobic rantings.

    I watched it as well last night, it was excellent. I wonder if Dudley Pound's brain tumor somehow resulted in his horrible decision.

    Have read about what happened before. So many lives lost during that conflict.

    Not nearly as enamoured with Top Gear as I used to be.
    The jabbering annoying Hamster is worse than Clakson though IMO.

    I agree, very tragic.

    In fact, many of the crews on the ill fated convoys to the USSR never got the reqognition, that they so deserve.

    It was as if Dudley Pound had written off the convoy in his mind, and decided that saving as many of the RN ships was the only thing to do.
