I have a request for any forum members that may live in France or Europe and are near or go near this place .

I am trying to get a photo of a marked gravestone .

It is of my grandfathers older brothers grave . Both of them served with the AIF in France in WW1 . My grandfather was wounded in 1918 and came home, but thats another story in itself . He died in 1968 when I was 5 years old aged 75 , he didnt have my father until 1940 , at 47. Same age as me now.

Initailly buried Eaton Hall Croix Blanche on the same day.

Then moved some years later to Rue-Petillon.

    I have a 1925 dated letter stating Plot 1 , Row K , Grave 54

Would be his final resting place.

If anyone could help out in anyway would be greatly appreciated.

    Yes Ade ,

It truly is wonderful the power of the internet for linking pieces of a puzzle together , in the most unusual ways you have not thought possible .
Franks grandfather , was my grandfathers brother , and Alfreds brother , a great uncle to us both , yet we have never met , nor know know anything about each other until know.
He took the photos in 2005 on a trip not knowing years later that I would ask about it , and stumbled across it randomly.
    Unbelieveable yet Wonderful Eh
